LUBBOCK, Texas – Jamaican sprinting talent and 2012 World junior medalist Odean Skeen, achieved in semi-finals at the weekend (31 Jan – 1 Feb) Masked Rider Open meet here, a world leading 6.11secs over 55 metres.

Skeen scorched the field in the short sprint and smashed Shavez Hart's school record of 6.23 seconds set just last year, turning in a time of 6.11 seconds. The time also bettered Markus Henderson's facility record of 6.16 seconds set in 2011.

When converted to the 60-meter distance Skeen ran equivalent to 6.57 seconds, tied for second best at the NJCAA Division I level. Skeen did 6.33 in the heats

Meanwhile, in Bloomington, Greggmar Swift of Barbados won the 60m hurdles at Indiana Relays in new life-time best 7.64. 

Also to note the mile by Molly Beckwith-Ludlow in 4:34.44 was impressive. In men race De´Sean Turner life-time best 3:58.50. 

Diondre Batson clocked 6.61 in the 60m over Dominique Hubert 6.62.

And in Nashville, National team sprinter Trell Kimmons won the 55m at the Tennessee State Invitational in good 6.18.
