Jamaican Shavine Hodges have expressed satisfaction after her personal best run at NAU Invitational at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona on the weekend.

Hodges, a former Jamaica junior, ran 7.32 over 60m.

“I feel great, for the first race of my season I am very proud,” she said of her personal best effort. “I couldn't ask God for more,” she added.

The former Mount Alvernia student is currently training at the World Athletics Center (WAC)

“I'm slowly adjusting to how they do things at the WAC. There are a lot more things I need to work on and improve, but with God, consistent hard training, and dedication I am going to do great,” continued Hodges.

She said her ultimate plan for 2015 is to make it to the World Championship Games and go pro.

Hodges graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Med and a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling.
