Dejour Russell raced to victory in the Under-18 boys’ 110m hurdles final on Sunday’s final day of Jamaica’s Carifta Games Trials at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Russell, one of Calabar’s top Class 1 athletes, won the obstacle final in 13.31 ahead of Wayne Pinnock of KC 13.71.
Michael Stephens of Calabar was the winner of the Under-18 boys’ 200m final in 20.93. Wolmer’s Xavier Naire finished second in 21.35
Michae Harriott of Holmwood ran away with the Under-18 girls’ 200m final in 23.71 ahead of Joanne Reid of St. Jago, 24.22.
Taqece Duggan of GC Foster College ran 24.01 to beat her former Hydel teammate, Shaneil English, now at St. Jago, 24.46, in the Under-20 girls’ 200m final.
