Kevaun Rattray and Ramone Barnswell were the fastest qualifiers from Thursday morning men’s 100m first round at Supreme Ventures Jamaica Senior Championships.
Rattray, winner of heat one in 10.37 (+1.8m.s wind), beat Barnswell of MVP, 10.39 in the day’s only morning session event at the National Stadium.
Ryan Shields, winner of heat 2, was the third fastest overall with 10.47 while heat four winner, Kemar Green, 10.47, was next best.
The other preliminary round qualifiers are Ajamu Graham of UTech, 10.56, Romone Hill, 10.76, Adam Cummings, 10.77, Gawain Williams, 10.78 and Schardique Griffiths of MVP, 10.81.
All seven qualifiers will join Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Asafa Powell, Nickel Ashmeade, Kemar Bailey-Cole in this evening’s preliminary round.
