Jamaican Rasheed Broadbell ran his fastest race to win the men’s 110-meter hurdles at the Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland.
Broadbell, who trailed American two-time world champion Grant Holloway, drawn on his outside, finished strong in 12.99 seconds. He bettered his previous best of 13.08secs.
Jamaica’s Olympic Games champion Hansle Parchment, who was among the slowest from the blocks, finished fourth in 13.13.
Americans Trey Cunningham pipped Holloway on the line, 13.10 to 13.11.
In the women’s 400m hurdles, Jamaicans Janieve Russell ran 53.92 and Andrenette Knight, 54.33, picked up second and third place finishes.
Femke Bolt of the Netherlands took the top spot in a new meeting record, 52.95.
Rushell Clayton did not finish.
Renelle Lamote of France beat American Allie Wilson, 1:57.84 to 1:58.09 in the women’s 800m.
