BATON ROUGE – The LSU Track & Field program will host its seventh Team Awards and Alumni Recognition Banquet at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel later this spring as alumni are asked to “Save The Date” for the night of Friday, April 21, as all former track and field athletes are invited to attend the annual event.

Banquet festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. CT with an alumni-only social following the event. Alumni interested in attending the banquet and keeping in contact with the coaching staff for future meets and other events are asked to complete this online questionnaire.

Now entering its seventh year, the LSU Track & Field Team Awards and Alumni Recognition Banquet is a true celebration of the rich history and tradition of the NCAA’s most storied combined track and field program as the Tigers and Lady Tigers welcome their decorated alumni back to Baton Rouge for the festivities.

The seventh-annual banquet this spring will be no exception as the program will recognize the women from the “Decade of Dominance” when the Lady Tiger won an unprecedented 11-straight NCAA Outdoor national championships from 1987-97. All alumni in attendance for the LSU Alumni Gold meet the following day on Saturday, April 22, will also be recognized.

The seventh LSU Track & Field Team Awards and Alumni Recognition Banquet this spring will also honor the current Tigers and Lady Tigers for their outstanding performances during the 2015 cross country, 2016 indoor and 2016 outdoor seasons, highlighted by the announcements of the Most Outstanding Female Performer Award and Glenn “Slats” Hardin Award winners.

The banquet debuted in 2010 with the goal of honoring the current members of the LSU Track & Field program for their achievements in competition, in the classroom and in the community, as well as recognize alumni who have laid the foundation of success that is enjoyed by the program to this day as the Tigers and Lady Tigers compete in the 2017 season.
