Jamaican sprinting talent Kiara Grant won the women's 200m at the Great Dane Classic here on Saturday, 11 January.

Kiara Grant regained her Jamaica junior 100m record with sizzling 11.04 run at today’s (8 June) NCAA National Championship. Grant was sixth in the women’s 100m final.

Sha’Carri Richardson of LSU blazed to 10.75 to take the women’s 100m title ahead of Kayla White of North Carolina 10.95.

Earlier this month, the former Alpha Academy athlete ran 11.11 seconds to erase Veronica Campbell-Brown’s old mark of 11.12 set back in 2000.

However, two weeks ago, Williams, who is the World U20 sprint double champion, stopped the clock in 11.10 seconds (0.2m/s) to break Grant’s mark.
