Grant Represents Clemson with Top-10 Finish in Women's 60m at Invitational

Kiara Grant continued her season at last weekend’s Clemson Invitational, held on January 13th and 14th of 2023.

The former Alpha student ran 7.26 for 7th in the women’s 60m. Grant is now representing Clemson.
Talitha Diggs of Florida took first place with a time of 7.14 seconds, followed by Kaila Jackson of Georgia, 7.18, and Joella Lloyd of Tennessee, 7.20.

In the men’s 60m final, Ismael Kone of Florida State ran 6.51 seconds to beat Favour Ashe of Auburn, 6.57, and PJ Austin of Florida, 6.59.

Jamaicans stand out in 600m.

Lashanna Graham and Jessica McLean, both of Clemson, ran 1:30.87 and 1:31.01 for second and third, respectively, in the women’s 600m. Vanessa Watson of Florida took first place with a time of 1:30.52.

The men’s 600m final was won by Adrian Bichara of Florida, with a time of 1:18.73, followed by Abbkar Abbas of Unattached in second and Ryan Maseman of Florida in third.

In the women’s 60m hurdles final, Anna Hall of Addidas took the top spot with a time of 8.18 seconds, followed by Jayla Hollis of Florida and Charisma Taylor of Tennessee in second and third, respectively.

Jerome Campbell of Northern Colorado was the men’s 60m hurdles winner in 7.74 seconds. He beat LaFranz Campbell of TRS and Jevon Williams of Clemson.

In the women’s 400m, Arianna Sharpe of Auburn took first place with 53.01 seconds, followed by Javonya Valcourt of Tennessee in second and Haley Tate of Georgia in third.

In the men’s 400m, LeBron Bessick of Auburn took first place with 47.17 seconds to finish ahead of Shawn Langley Jr of Charleston Southern and Rasheeme Griffith of Tennessee in third.
