Kiara Grant won the women’s 60m final at the Clemson Opener Invitational Friday (Dec 2) in the United States.

She ran 7.29 to beat Sheleah Harris of Georgia Tech, 7.33 and Talayla Davis, 7.47. Earlier, Kiara Grant ran 7.34 in the heats.
Wanya McCoy ran 6.76 to beat his Clemson teammate Guinove Joanus, 6.81 in the men’s 60m final.
Jamaicans Foreman, Sloley, Forbes and Francis were also winners.
Shantae Foreman of Clemson won the women’s long jump with a leap of 5.86m. She beat Georgia Tech’s Mikayla Williams, 5.80m and Jada Pittman of Southern Wesleyan, 5.76.
Danielle Sloley of Clemson won the women’s shot put with 15.09m over Levonis Davis of Life, 12.56 and Ashley Taylor of Fayetteville St., 11.94m.
Marie Forbes of Clemson threw 20.51 to take the top spot in the women’s weight throw. She beat Danielle Albright, 14.18m.
The women’s 300m was full of Jamaicans, with Aalliyah Francis of South Carolina taking the top spot in 36.83.
Danielle Williams of TRS finished second in 38.44, and Lashanna Graham fourth in 39.63. Grant finished 7th in 39.90, Foreman 11th in 40.75 and Oneka Wilson 13th in 41.65.
In the women’s 60m hurdles final, Oneka Wilson ran 8.59 for fifth. Keira Christie-Galloway of Grand Canyon won the event in 8.39 ahead of Antoinette Van Der Merwe of Clemson, 8.49.
Blair Brooks of South Carolina topped the men’s event with 7.26m ahead of Noah Meadows of Southern Wesleyan, 7.20m.
Lashanna Graham of Clemson ran 1:34.33 for second in the women’s 600m behind Andrea Foster of TRS, 1:33.55.
Mia Joseph of South Carolina cleared 3.50m in the women’s pole vault. Andre Wright got out to 15.08 metres in the men’s triple jump.
Jameson Miller of Georgia Tech was the men’s 600m winner in 1:19.62.
Giano Roberts of Clemson won the men’s 60m hurdles final in 7.80 ahead of Filip Demsar of South Carolina, 7.89.
In the women’s 400m, Elena Kelety of South Carolina took victory with a time of 55.20. Former Edwin Allen athletes Jessica McLean, 57.33 and Kayan Green, 57.59, were 3rd and 5th, respectively.
