Jamaica’s 4x100m male team of described their silver medal achievement at Saturday’s (July 14) World U20 Championships as “amazing feeling.”
The quartet was Xavier Nairne, Christopher Taylor, Jhevaughn Matherson and Michael Stephens.
“It’s an amazing feeling to get a championship silver medal,” the athletes said after running a Jamaica U20 record 38.96 to take silver behind USA 38.88 at the World U20 Championships on Saturday, July 14.
“We wanted the gold but silver is still good,” the team members said.
“We missed a medal two years ago so we’re so glad and relieved we did it for Jamaica today.”
