photomark 1 1024x531 1024x531 1Sprinter Ramon Gittens has been chosen as Barbados’s flag-bearing at the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The choice of Gittens was announced by the Barbos Olympic Asssociation (BOA) on Thursday, 4 August.

Gittens, BOA’s Senior Male Athlete of the Year and the President’s Award winner, is making his second Olympic appearance.

He will represent Barbados in the 100m and 200m at the Games.
