St. Jago's Shaneil English won the Under-18 girls 100m final at Jamaica’s Carifta Games Trials at the National Stadium on Saturday (Video link here).
English, who was at Hydel last year, won the final in 11.59 seconds.
In one of the most high profiled girls Under-18 finals, English finished strong to beat Alpha’s Kiara Grant and fellow St. Jago athlete Kimone Shaw.
Edwin Allen’s Shellece Clark, who was second to English in the prelims, again played second fiddle in 11.66.
Shaw was third in 11.67 and Grant, a first year class three, fourth in 11.74.
