SAN JOSE (CRC, Aug 9): The 2015 NACAC Championships ended with high quality relay times in San Jose, Costa Rica on Sunday (9 August).

USA won three of four races. Team USA won the women’s 4×100 in 42.24 (Pierre, Lawson, Bryant, Jefferson), in the 4x400m 3:25.39 (Funderburk, Ch. Williams, T. Williams, Okolo) over Jamaica 3:28.65. They also won the men’s 4×400 m in 3:00.07 (Parros, C. Smith, M. Chambers, J. Harris) ahead of Bahamas 3:00.53, Cuba 3:01.22 and Dominican Republic 3:01.73.

Jamaica (Forsythe, Livermore, Bailey, S. Mitchell) won the men’s 4x100m in 38.07 ahead of USA 38.45 and Barbados national record 38.55.

Fast 200m finals won by US Kyra Jefferson 22.50 (+1.3) ahead of Trinidad and Tobago’s Semoy Hackett who achieved new Trinidad and Tobago record 22.51 and Dezerea Bryant 22.58.

Jamaica’s Pan Am Games silver medal winner Rasheed Dwyer 20.12 (+1.8) beat Yancarlos Martinez from Dominican Republic 20.28 in the men’s 200m final. Tiffany Williams got high level 54.35 to take the women’s 400m hurdles ahead of Sparkle McKnight of Trinidad 55.41 PB. Puerto Rican Javier Culson topped the men’s 400m hurdles in 48.70, beating Jose Gaspar of Cuba 49.67 PB with superstar Felix Sanchez fifth in 50.23.

USA got both 800m finals, Channelle Price 2:00.48 and Ryan Martin 1:45.79.
