TnT's Khalifa St Fort 11.39PB Leads field in 100m women

Caribbean Nationals lead the way into the semifinal of the women’s 100m. Trinidad & Tobago's Khalifa St Fort's 11.39 PB (TTO) heads the list of qualifiers, and she is joined by Tristan Evelyn 11.57 (BAR), imone Shaw 11.58 (JAM), Vanesha Pusey 11.83 (JAM),  Brianna Bethel 11.88 (BAH), Bliss Jade Soleyn 11.94 ANT and L T Sha Fahie 11.95 (IVB). The semi final and final are set to go off at 7:10pm and 9:05pm EST.

Junelle Bromfield (JAM) 58.67 punched her ticket to the final of the women’s 400iH. The final promises to be a very closely contested one as only one clear favorite Sydney McLauhlin (USA-56.79) stands out,while less than a half second separates the rest of the field. Bromfield goes into the final with the 5th fastest qualifying time.

Cuba heads the way in the 110HH with Yoan Aleixi Villa 13.68 PB while Tavonte Mott 13.81 (BAH) and Alex Robinson 13.95 (JAM) will occupy lanes in this evening's semi final.

The evening session is set to go off at 6:00pm with the Decathlon Javelin followed by the Pole Vault qualifying round. Favorite in the 400m Christopher Taylor will race out of Semi Final 2 Lane 5.
