Carter says thanks to family, coaches and fans for support

Deuce Carter made his first Olympic team. So come August 5, the start of the Rio 2016 Games, he will join the illustrious list of Jamaican Olympians.

He booked his ticket to Rio by finishing second in the men’s 110m hurdles on Saturday night at the Jamaican Trials, his time 13.21 to finish behind world leader, Omar McLeod, 13.01.

“This season has been long, it’s about to be longer! I’ve just made my first Olympic team,” he wrote on his social media page.

“Thanks to all the people who’ve always been in my corner and believed in me even more than I believed in myself at times,” Carter continued.

“Thanks to all my coaches over the years, my mother, my family member and all my friends. With the help of God and my coach Mr. Coleman, I will remain healthy, strong and victorious. RIO here I come!!!” ended his comment.
