Junelle Bromfield of St. Elizabeth Technical scored 34 points to lead her school to title honours at Saturday’s Western Champs held at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
Bromfield, a national junior representative, won three events – 400, 800m and the 1500m, but finished second in the 400m hurdles.
She ran 2:11.18 in the 800m to beat BB Coke’s Shameka Peart 2:29.85.
In 400m, her time of 53.66 was better than her teammate’s Satanya Wright, who did 56.89 for second place.
In 1500m, she topped the field in 5:18.52 over Yashema Clarke of Ruseas 5:32.45.
She, however, played second fiddle to her teammate Kimeisha Chambers 1:02.34 to 1:01.38 in the 400m hurdles open.
