TAMPERE, Finland – Britany Anderson added another international medal to her collection. This was done on Sunday’s (15 July) final day of the 17th IAAF World U20 Championships.
The 2017 World Youth champion ran a personal best 13.01 seconds for silver in the women’s 100m hurdles. She improved on her 13.10secs, done two days earlier.
Drawn in lane six, and with two sub-13 seconds Americans on her inside, Anderson despite getting out last, powered down the straight to catch them all.

In the end, Anderson and American Tia Jones were given the same time of 13.01 seconds.
Anderson admitted she is not the best starter, but was glad “to go out there and did my best.”
“It (my best) was good enough because I came away with a silver medal and ran the same time as the winner, so I am very happy about that.”
Courtney Jones, the other American, ran 13.19 for third place.
