Jamaican teenage sensation Akeem Bloomfield will get his first real test at next month’s Jamaica Invitational.
The Carifta Games Under-20 and Champs 400m winner, Bloomfield, a student at Kingston College (KC), will face a strong field at the May 9th meet.
Bloomfield, who ran 44.93 for new Jamaican junior and Champs records last month, will face American World champion LaShawn Merritt and Luguelin Santos, the Olympic silver medallist from Dominican Republic.
Javon Francis, who made his name by anchoring Jamaica’s 4x400m team to silver at the Moscow World Championships, will add spice to the one lap event.
