Marie Josee Ta Lou beat Allyson Felix over 150m at Friday’s (18 May) Arcadis Great City Games Invitational (Results link here).

Ta Lou, who won the Doha Diamond League 100m, topped today’s straight 150m field in 16.60s to Felix’ 16.72s. Britain’s Bianca Williams third with 17.09s.

Felix opened her season last Saturday (12 May) with a 100m victory in Guadeloupe.

Alina Talay of Belarus ran 12.74 to take the women’s 100m hurdles ahead of Isabelle Pedersen 13.03.

In men’s 150m, Leon Reid won in 15.52s over Solomon Bockarie 15.57s.

Aries Merritt loses Arcadis Great City Games Invitational 110m hurdles

Damian Czykier of Poland surprised the field in the men’s 110m hurdles with victory in 13.67s. David King 13.83, Andy Pozzi 13.90 and Aries Merritt 14.34 finished behind Czykier in that order.

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey won the men’s 100m in 10.35 over Richard Kilty 10.37.

Bershawn Jackson was in a class of his own as he ran away with the 200m hurdles in 22.58. Thomas Barr was second in 23.19s.

Stanley Joseph took victory in the pole vault by clearing 5.60m. Luke Cutts took second with 5.30m and Matteo Capello third, also with 5.30m – Cutts pipping the Italian on countback.

France’s Eloyse Lesueur took a season-best 6.58 to win the women’s long jump, with Sawyers jumping 6.43 on her fourth attempt, ahead of Portugal’s Teresa Carvalho with 6.16.
