ATHENS, GA – Antigua & Barbuda sprinter Cejhae Greene posted a new personal best of 10.01 seconds to win the men’s 100m at the Georgia Invitational in Athens, GA, on Saturday.

Suiting out for the Athens Elite, Greene, racing with no aided wind (0.0 m/s) improved on his previous personal best of 10.25 seconds, which was set last year, as he went on to defeat three other sprinters from his group.

The 20-year-old, who reigns from St. John’s, and has his eyes well set on representing his country at this summer Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil, transferred from Florida State after two seasons and is redshirting at the University of Georgia this term be eligible for 2017.

Americans Kendal Williams (10.06 PB) and Dentarius Locke (10.12) were second and third in the race with Cayman Islands national record holder Kemar Hyman running 10.13 for fourth place in the race.

Another highlighting performance on the day came in the men’s Shot Put competition where 22-year-old Stephen Mozia set a Nigerian national record of 20.55m to top two former IAAF World Championships gold medal winners, Americans Adam Nelson and Reese Hoffa.

Mozia, who had a promising indoor season, after setting two shot put national records for inside competition, was achieving his fifth best throw all-time for both indoor and outdoor contests.

Finishing second to the Nigerian star was 2004 Athens Olympic champion Adam Nelson, who heaved a seasonal best of 20.48m, while third went to the 2007 world champion Hoffa (20.07m).
