Adelle Tracey, who represented her adopted nation Jamaica at the World Championships, will not be able to compete for Jamaica at the Commonwealth Games.
- Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce against Shericka Jackson in Monaco Diamond League
- Jamaica’s team for World U20 Championships – Cali, Colombia
- Shericka Jackson for Silesia, no Commonwealth Games
“For reasons out of my control, I sadly won’t be competing at the Commonwealth Games,” Tracey said in a tweet.
“Having qualified & been selected, I am disappointed by the reality of not being able to see my potential at what would have been my second CWG,” she continued.

“Thankful I’m healthy & ready to readjust my goals,” added Tracey, who earlier in her career represented Great Britain.
Tracey ran both 800m and 1500m for Jamaica at the recently concluded Oregon22 World Athletics Championships. She progressed to the semi-final round of both events.
