Jamaica College’s (JC) middle-distance star J’voughnn Blake has chosen Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, the United States to continue his studies.

The 19-year-old standout secured the Ivy league scholarship and will pursue a Degree in Micro Biology.
In a social media post, the university wrote: “Welcome to the Big Green Family J’Voughnn Blake!”
J’voughnn Blake Blake dominated the 800m this season for Jamaica College and won the event at the Carifta Games for Jamaica. In March, he ran a massive personal best of 1:47.62 at the Carifta Games Trials and returned to tie the Champs record of 1:48.58.
He later helped Jamaica College to Penn Relays Championships of America success in the 4x800m.
Blake has 13 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) subjects with grade one pass marks. He also has five grade one passes in the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).
