WALNUT (USA): USA’s Kenny Bednarek, the Olympic silver medallist in the 200m, will race the 400m at USATF Golden Games in Walnut on Saturday (WACT Gold).

He will face Alison Dos Santos, the bronze medallist in the 400m hurdles from Brazil, and Michael Cherry, who was fourth at the Olympics in the 400m and finished 2021 strong with the Diamond League trophy. Bednarek´s PB is 44.73 from JUCO win in 2019.
His last 400 m also comes from 2019, at Ostrava meet in June he clocked 47.02.
Meanwhile, Sydney McLaughlin, Elle Purrier St. Pierre, Heather MacLean and Roisin Willis will attempt to break the Distance Medley Relay world best at the new indoor facility in Boston on Friday.
The world best (1200-400-800-1600) currently stands at 10:39.91. Sydney McLaughlin is the Olympic Games 400m hurdles champion and world record holder.
