Jackson, Mboma clash over 200m in Zagreb

Shericka Jackson and Christine Mboma will clash for the final time this season at the Memorial Borisa Hanzekovica Meeting in Zagreb on Tuesday (14 Sept).

Jamaican Jackson lost both races to date against Namibian Mboma, 21.95 to 21.84 in Brussels and 21.81 to 21.78 in Zurich for the Diamond League crown.

Mboma’s 21.78 is a new world U20 and African senior record, while Jackson’s run was also a personal best. Mboma won silver in Tokyo, while Jackson failed to make the final.

Jamaican Shashalee Forbes and Bahamian Anthonique Strachan will also be in the women’s 200m.

Julian Forte, who picked in his last meet, go up against Americans Marvin Bracy, Ronnie Baker and Trayvon Bromell in the men’s 100m.

Olympic Games champion Hansle Parchment and bronze medallist, Ronald Levy, are down for the men’s 110m hurdles.

Janieve Russell will want to close her season on a winning note in the women’s 400m hurdles.

Fedrick Dacres will face-off with top man Daniel Stahl in the men’s discus.

Shadae Lawrence has entered for the women’s discus.

Shanieka Ricketts is in the triple jump.
