Freeman first sub 13, Norwood 44.64 at LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, USA – Super jumping talent JuVaughn Harrison cleared for the first time outdoors 2.30m in the high jump at LSU Invitational on Saturday (1 May).

Vernon Norwood ran a fast 400m time of 44.64 to beat Tyler Terry, who dropped a personal best of 45.18.

In women 400m, Tiana Wilson’s 51.21 personal best got the better of Taylor Manson 51.58, also PB.

Aleia Hobbs ran 11.01 (+1.3m/s wind) in the 100m to finish ahead of Mikiah Brisco, 11.09.

Taliyah Brooks 12.73 (+0.9m/s) ahead of Jamaican Daszay Freeman 12.93 PB and Venezuelan record 12.95 for Yoveinny Mota in the 100m hurdles.

Canadian Bismark Boateng clocked 10.17 (-0.1m/s) in the 100m, Quincy Downing 49.92 in the 400m hurdles. Rayvon Grey leapt to a windy 8.11m (+2.2, legal 7.80m) in the long jump.

In women’s long jump, Aliyah Whisby 6.65m (+0.6) and Jamaican Lloydricia Cameron 18.14 PB.
