BOSTON, USA – Noah Lyles, Sydney McLaughlin and Trayvon Bromell are the big names announced today (27 Jan) to return to the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.
Lyles, who won the Doha 2019 World 200m title, will run the same distance in Boston.
The fourth-fastest man over 200m and the number-one ranked man since Usain Bolt left the sport in 2017 will be making his third appearance at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.
McLaughlin, the world 400m hurdles silver medallist, will compete in both the 60m hurdles and 500m at this year’s meet. She pulled out at the last minute in 2020 with an injury.
Trayvon Bromell, fresh from his American Track League victory on Sunday (23 Jan), will return to run the men’s 60m dash. Last year, Bromell broke the 10.00 second barrier for the first time since 2016 and went undefeated in his four races over 100m.
The men’s 1500m will feature Olympic Champion Matthew Centrowit with Britain Jake Wightman and US Craig Engels.
No spectators will be allowed to attend on 13 Feb, and the meet will take place at NYC Parks’ Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
