Bahamian track and field queen Shaunae Miller-Uibo pulled out of Monday’s 100m final at the Star Athletics Sprint Showcase in Florida.
Miller-Uibo ran 13.56 seconds in the first round of the event, which proved she was far from her best.
Claude Bryan, Miller-Uibo’s manager, gave the reason for his star athlete withdrawal.
“Just a mild discomfort so she opted for caution,” Bryan told Trackalerts.com.
Sha’Carri Richardson won the final in 10.83 (2.1m/s wind).
Earlier, Richardson recorded the fastest time in the first round of 10.95 ahead of Kourtney Johnson, 11.25 and Kimberly Williams, 12.11.
Miller-Uibo was the world leader up to August 9 with 10.98. Jamaicans Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce 10.87 and Elaine Thompson-Herah, 10.88 are the only two sprinters to break 10.9 this season.
Miller-Uibo, however, remains the world leader in the 200m at 21.98 and 400m with 50.52.

She didn’t run 13,56, she walks faster than that. She felt a bit of discomfort and decided not to ru. If she actually runs, it means a time around 10.9…
take time beautiful
