AUSTIN, Texas – The multi-event entries for the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, which were unveiled by Meet Director James Barr on Wednesday (11 March), feature 36 of the best heptathletes and decathletes from the across the globe.

The Texas Relays begin on Wednesday, 25 March, and run through Saturday, 28 March. The heptathlon and decathlon are featured on Wednesday and Thursday, with world-class talent expected on the Forty Acres and inside Mike A. Myers Stadium all weekend long.

Three Texas Track and Field student-athletes highlight the entries, as freshman Leo Neugebauer and sophomores, Philip Frank and Alex Loving will all compete in the decathlon over the first two days of competition. Neugebauer is coming off winning the Big 12 Indoor heptathlon in just his second collegiate meet, while Frank and Loving finished sixth and fifth, respectively, at the conference meet. Neugebauer, the 2019 U20 world-leading decathlete, is also scheduled to compete in the indoor heptathlon this weekend at the NCAA Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. The decathlon field will also feature competitors from Arkansas, Connecticut and TCU, among others.

In the heptathlon, Team USA’s Jordan Gray and Lindsay Schwartz headline a strong field of competitors. Texas A&M’s Tyra Gittens, who finished second to UT’s Ashtin Zamzow in the event at last year’s NCAA Outdoor Championships, will also be in the field at the Texas Relays. South Alabama’s Emilie Berge, Gittens and Gray (Kennesaw State) all earned All-America honours in the heptathlon last season.

The 2020 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays begin exactly two weeks from today and will once again feature some of the best competitors from around the world. The meet is the first of a packed Outdoor Track and Field schedule in Austin, which concludes with the 2020 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in June.
