Coleman, Fraser-Pryce among several big names for Jamaica Invitational

World 100m champions Christian Coleman and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will lead a host of global stars set to compete at this year’s Jamaica Invitational International Meeting.

Fraser-Pryce and Coleman, Doha 2019 women’s and men’s 100m champions, will be joined by world record holders Kendra Harrison and Dalilah Muhammad, for the May 2, 2020 meeting.

Harrison will take on Danielle Williams in the 100m hurdles and Muhammad faces Rushell Clayton in the one-lap obstacle. In Doha 2019, Williams won bronze and Harrison the silver, while Muhammad ran a world record 52.16 to take gold in the 400m hurdles ahead of Clayton, who picked up bronze.

The Jamaica Invitational, which has silver status on newly formed World Athletics Continental Tour, will also see Olympic champions Elaine Thompson and Shaunae Millier-Uibo in action.

World 200m champion Noah Lyles, Justin Gatlin, Yohan Blake, Andre Degrasse and Shericka Jackson are other big names down to touch the track.

World long jump champion Tajaye Gayle will lead the field event athletes. There will also be Doha 2019 medallists Shanieka Ricketts (triple jump), Fedrick Dacres (discus) and Danniel Thomas-Dodd (shot put).
