Jamaican sprinters Akeem Bloomfield and Nathon Allen will lead MVP International men’s 4x400m relay team to February’s 29 44th Gibson McCook Relays.
The organisers, on Thursday (20 Feb) made the disclosure that the Henry Rolle-coached team, an affiliate of the Stephen Francis led MVP, will be in action at the National Stadium.
Both Bloomfield and Allen helped Jamaica to silver in the men’s 4x400m at October’s Doha 2019 World Athletics Championships. Bloomfield, who has a personal best of 43.94, was also a finalist in the men’s 400m in Doha.
Allen, who has a personal best of 44.13, was also a member of Jamaica’s Rio 2016 men’s 4x400m silver medal team. He also helped Jamaica to silver in the mixed 4x400m at the Doha World Championships.
Martin Manley, the 2013 World U18 400m champion, and Terry Smith, are the other team members.

This is great news. Need teams from overseas making appearances at this meet. I personally think the Gibson/McCook relays is far better and more exciting than the Penn Relays.
