The North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) U23 and U18 Championships will be combined in 2019.

Mexican city Querétaro will host the Championships over three days, July 5-7, 2019.

“The Council decided to add the NACAC U18 to our Series of Championships,” NACAC President Victor Lopez told Trackalerts.com.

Lopez continued: “And since we never had a large number of entries in the U23 and the same in the U18, it was decided to have both Championships in one.”

He said it’s ‘more or less like Carifta and the same when we had the old CAC Youth and Junior Championships.” These Championships have U17 and U20 categories.

The NACAC President will this week meet with government authorities from Querétaro and the sports authorities in Mexico.

“I think the project will be positive for the development of those two categories,” Lopez added.
