Edwin Allen’s duo Cemore Donald and Kayan Green are safely through to the final of Class 3 girls’ 1,500m at Champs #taChamps.
Both, Donald, the overwhelming favourite for the title, won her heat 1 in 4:50.38 and Green, who ran 4:47.99 to finish 2nd behind Mavis Bank’s Shantay Chamberlain 4:47.44.
Monifa Green of Hydel, the favourite for Class 2, qualified for the final with the slowest time of 5:17.53.
Britnie Dixon of Vere 4:47.44 and Holmwood Tech’s Chrissani May 4:49.53, are the leaders going into the Class 2 girls’ 1500m final.
Shevan Parks, Champs 2016 favoruite from Bellefield, won his heat 1 in 4:06.01 for the 2nd fastest time of the day. Akeem Colley of Rusea’s 4:05.40 leads the field, which also includes Leon Clarke, heat 3 winner of St. Jago in 4:06.09.
Dwight Mason of STETHS 4:12.89 and Keenan Lawrence of St. Jago 4:12.98 are the top Class 2 boys’ qualifiers.
