There are queries in the minds of the Jamaican people and all over the world regarding the “the fastest man alive.” Will he be able to get back to his usual form? If so, when will this happen?
The World Athletics Championships is just around the corner and this calls for some resounding performances that will stamp our mark as the sprint giants of the world, and incidentally, this would also put us in the frame of mind that we will have nothing to worry about coming this world championship in Beijing china. It is certain, that with the present superb form of American Justin Gatlin, it has caused people to speculate much more about Bolt’s 2015 track season.
But I am advising everyone to just give Usain a break, there are many other Jamaican athletes out there that we have to look forward to. It can’t just be a ‘Usain show!’ There are many other athletes out there that need the support and encouragement of the Jamaican people, it can’t just be ‘We need Usain! We need Usain!’ to defend our Jamaican pride.
At this year’s Jamaica senior trials at the national stadium, there need to be some immaculate performances in the sprints, which will convince us that we are progressing towards the world Championships in the required fashion-attaining world leading times. The essence of this article, is to change the mindset of the people and to get them to realize that other athletes can and come dominate, if Bolt is not at his best coming this year World championship.
