BUDAPEST – Justin Gatlin, the fastest man for the last two years, will run his first race after US Trials in Hungary. Gatlin is to compete in the 100m at the Istvan Gyulai Memorial in Szekesfehervar on July 7 (EA Classic meet).
Then he will run at Athletissima in Lausanne on July 9 where he will face Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay.
Four global stars will return as they competed at the meet in recent years. Sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown, hurdler Jason Richardson, discus thrower Gerd Kanter and triple jumper Christian Taylor.
Home stars like Krisztian Pars in hammer and Anita Marton in shot put are among the headliners.
