BRUSSELS – Usain Bolt has been confirmed for the AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme, Brussels' Diamond League Meeting on September 11.
The Jamaican can compete in either the 100m or 200m and will make his decision after the World Championships. This will be the seventh time that the multiple world and Olympic champion has competed at the prestigious Belgian meeting.
He holds the meet record in the 100m with his 9.76 (1.3) clocking from 2011. His fastest 200m in Brussels is the 19.57 he ran in 2009. Justin Gatlin is also expected to compete at the meet.
He will also have a choice as to what distance he participates in. Last year he ran in both races and achieved the best one evening sprint double ever.
