New law to give JADCO more power

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaican parliament has passed a new Anti-Doping in Sport Bill which will ensure Jamaica’s compliance with the new WADA Code, inform insidethegames.

Under the bill, the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) will work as an independent body to implement and enforce the revised code.

A Board of Directors, an independent Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel, and an Anti-Doping Appeals Tribunal have also been established. JADCO will hold a symposium in January to educate stakeholders about the new Act and the anti-doping rules.
