MANHATTAN, New York – Twin Shardia Lawrence and Shadae Lawrence were winners at the Ward Haylett Invitational in Kansas on the weekend (6 May 2017).

Shardia did 13.70m with the help of a 2.4m/w wind to take the top spot in the women’s triple jump. American Konstantina Romaiou was second with 13.19m.

In the discus, Olympian Shadae threw 57.69m for victory.

Jamaican Kimberly Williamson achieved a personal best, 1.91m in the women’s high jump, the same height done by winner, Canadian Alyx Treasure.

Claudette Allen, formerly of Edwin Allen, leapt 6.09m for 4th in the women’s long jump, won by American Sydney Conley 6.62m.

Shawna Anderson of Jamaica ran 11.80 for second in the women’s 100m, won by American Sydney Conley in 11.49.

Ranae McKenzie topped the women’s 400m dash in 53.64 to beat Barbados’ Sonia Gaskin, 54.75.
