Natalliah Whyte won a third gold medal for Jamaica on Sunday at the Youth Olympic Games here in Nanjing, China.
Whyte’s gold medal, which she achieved in 23.55 seconds, came after Jaheed Hyde and Martin Manley won the 110m hurdles and 400m on Saturday.
Whyte beat on her way to the gold medal, Ukraine’s Kobe Dzhois (23.94) and the United States’ Johnson Brandae (24.28).
Meanwhile, Obrien Wasome produced a personal best of 7.44 metres to take second in the men’s long jump final. Ryapolou of Rusia won the gold medal with a leap of 7.54 metres.
