Olympic javelin winner Keshorn Walcott, competed for the first time Friday, May 2nd, since being eliminated in the qualification rounds at the World Championships in Moscow and produced two valid throws at the Twilight Games, the better one being 79.33 m.

Another Trinidad Olympic medalist Richard Thompson, won the 100 m in a fast 10.10 (+1.2) ahead of Guyana´s Adam Harris 10.23 and Darrell Brown 10.31.

US sprinter Tawanna Meadows won the women’s 100m in 11.18 (+1.7).

More good home wins came from Cleopatra Borel in the women’s shot put (18.83) and Mikael Thomas 13.47 (+0.8) over the hurdles.

Bahamian Jeffery Gibson was timed at 49.66 in the 400m hurdles and Cuban Roberto Skyers posted a good 20.37 (+1.2) in the 200 m.

Lee-Marvin Bonevacia who runs for Netherlands won the 400 m in 46.24.
