World champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Olympics sprint double champion Elaine Thompson-Herah are down to run the 100m at Saturday’s (8 Aug) Velocity Fest Meet 4 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Fraser-Pryce, Doha 2019 world 100m winner, at the first meet ran 11 seconds flat, at the time, a world-leading mark.

Thompson-Herah, who ran the 200m on the same day, returned the following week to win the 100m in a wind-aided 10.73s.

Both are down to run two races today. Fraser-Pryce will against up with Natasha Morrison, Michae Harriott and Amoi Brown in heat two. At the same time, Thompson-Herah faces Kasheika Cameron, Shashalee Forbes and Srabani Nanda in heat three at 4 pm.

In the second race, Fraser-Pryce is listed against Brown, Forbes and Cameron while Thompson-Herah will go up against Morrison, Anthonique Strachan and Srabani Nanda.

World long jump champion Tajay Gayle and Deague 2011 world 100m champion Yohan Blake are down to face the starter in the men’s 100m.

Also in the men’s 100m are Delano Williams, Emmanuel Callender, Nesta Carter, Michael Campbell, Nigel Ellis and Oshane Bailey.

Shericka Jackson and Stephenie-Ann McPherson will headline the women’s 400m.
