KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two more athletes have withdrawn from the 2014 JAAA/Supreme Ventures National Senior Championships called Jamaica Trials.
Earlier this morning, Asafa Powell withdrew with stomach flu.
Now, 2005 World Championships 100m silver medallist Michael Frater and Sheldon Mitchell, became the latest to pull out of the meet.
Frater, who is third vice president of the JAAA, last represented Jamaica at the Penn Relays in April. He was also a member of the nation’s team to the IAAF World Relays in Nassau, Bahamas.
The quarter-final of the men’s 100m will take place at 7:15 Thursday night.
