Thomas represented Jamaica on the international stage at the Carifta Games in St. George’s, Grenada, and IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, during the 2016 season … Crowned the Carifta Games Under-18 110m hurdles Champion with a blistering wind-aided time of 13.32 (+3.7).

Jamaica’s Carifta Games Under-18 champion, Damion Thomas, won the men’s 60m hurdles at Friday’s (January 5) LSU Purple Tiger meet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

LSU’s Thomas, who qualified with the second best time of 8.08m, returned to take the final in 7.84 seconds.

Tramaine Maloney, running unattached, finished second in 8.00secs.

Jamaican long jumper Damar Forbes placed 5th in the men’s 60m dash in 6.79. LSU’s Jaron Flournoy won the event in 6.71

Aleia Hobbs of LSU topped the women’s 60m dash in 7.27 ahead of her teammate Kortnei Johnson, 7.29.
