Tia Taylor won two events at Tuesday’s Marine Corps Holiday Classic inside the Armory, New York.

Taylor, at the High School event, won the 55m hurdles and triple jump.

Representing Mt Airy, Taylor ran 8.52 to beat Brinesha Derrick-Bain (Ruff Kutz) 8.64 and Lauren Gay (White Plains Future Stars) 8.74 in the hurdles.

In the triple jump, Taylor had a hop-skip-jump of 11.31 metres to beat Alexandra Bonn (unattached), 10.71m.

Meanwhile, Chris Adekoya (Island Express) won the boys’ 55m dash in 6.51 ahead of Jaden Price-Whitehead (unattached), 6.59 and Baden Seabury (Sky’s The Limit), 6.63.

Jada Ellis (unattached) topped the girls’ 55m dash in 7.29 ahead of Sanaa Hebron (unattached), 7.35 and Dayahana Douglas (Ruff Kutz), 7.36

Ryan Ellison (Infinity Track) took top honours in the boys’ 55m hurdles in 7.92 ahead of Joseph Morrone (Chelsea Greyhounds) 8.08 and Connor Munson (Road Runners Elite), 8.33

Joseph Cardascia (Athletics Westchester) beat Joseph Morrone (Chelsea Greyhounds), 35.17 to 35.44 in the boys’ 300m.

The girls’ 300m final went to Sanaa Hebron (unattached) 39.67 over Taliyah Booker (unattached) 40.00

Michael Rodriguez-King (Island Express) won the boys’ 600m in 1:23.03 ahead of Ryan Sinclair (unattached) 1:23.39.

Kaelen Mitchell (Unattached), 7.14m in the boys’ long jump while Tess Stapleton (Unattached) did 5.77m in the girls’ event.

Michael Pinckney (Unattached) 16.84m in the boys’ shot put.
