The MVP Track & Field Club is pleased to advise that Paul Francis has been appointed Head Coach of the MVP Track & Field Club. Paul has been a coach at MVP for 17 years.
Paul co-founded MVP in September 1999 and has distinguished himself internationally as a coach and administrator of athletics. Paul has attained the Level IV IAAF Coaching Certification in Sprints and Hurdles. Paul is also one of the highest ranked IAAF Technical
Officials in Jamaica and is designated as an Area Technical Official “ATO” in NACAC by the IAAF.
The Honourable Vincent Stephen Francis, OJ, OD who previously held the position of Head Coach of the MVP Track & Field Club, will no longer have coaching duties at MVP Track & Field Club.
Stephen will now provide private coaching services to select individual athletes.
Of note both Paul Francis and Stephen Francis continue in their roles as track and field coaches at the University of Technology, Jamaica.
The MVP Track & Field Club has a record, to date, of athletes earning 56 IAAF World Championship medals, 28 Olympic medals, 25 Jamaican National Records, 3 Olympic Records and 5 World Records.
