Stacey-Ann Williams joins Texas Longhorns

Stacey-Ann Williams joined the University of Texas’ Track and Field program as one of its 2020 signing class over the last week.

Williams, who attended St. Elizabeth Technical High School, spent one year at Southern University at New Orleans.

She won five NAIA national championships (2019 outdoor 400m, 4x100m, 4x400m; 2019 Indoor 400m, 4x400m) at Southern University.

Williams ran a personal-best 52.60 en route to winning the 400m dash at the 2019 NAIA Outdoor Championships. She was later named NAIA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week on Jan. 30, 2019, after winning the 400-meter dash at the KMS Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama

At STETHS, Williams won the Class 1 girls’ 400m title in 2018. She went on to the World U20 Championships and helped Jamaica to silver in the mile relay.
