Michelle-Lee Ahye and Kelly-Ann Baptiste are set to face-off in the women’s 100m at the Trinidad and Tobago National Championships this weekend.

Their season’s bests are just separated by 0.01, with Ahye having the edge. However, she pulled up injured at the Prefontaine Classic and hasn’t competed since.

Last year Ahye ran a world-leading 10.85 (1.6 wind) in the semi-finals before winning the final in 10.88 (1.2).

In the men’s 100m, the top favourites are Richard Thompson and Keston Bledman.

The 400m will also be the highlight of the championships featuring Machel Cedenio, Lalonde Gordon and Renny Quow.

Deon Lendore pulled out of the meet due to injury.
