NACAC t-shirtThe North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Area track and field Association members have dominated the Olympic Games over the years.

This time around, NACAC led by its president Victor Lopez, is making the XV IAAF Olympiad a special one, at least for the medal winners.

Lopez confirmed to TrackAlerts.com that each of the region’s most popular sport’s medal winners, will get a t-shirt with the NACAC logo and “NACAC medal winner” inscribed on it.

Jamaica and United States of America are the leading NACAC area countries in track and field.

USA currently leads the medal table with 2 gold and a silver while Jamaica has 1 gold and 1 bronze.

Elaine Thompson won the women’s 100m for Jamaica while Michelle Carter, in the women’s shot put, and Jeff Henderson in the men’s long jump, won for USA.

The Jamaica and USA sprint battle continues tonight, when Jamaicans, Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake go against Justin Gatlin inside the Rio 2016 Olympic Stadium.
