Shericka Jackson wins the women's 100m in a championship record 10.83 at the NACAC Open Championships in Freeport, Grand Bahamas.

KINGSTON, Jamaica (April 21) – Velocity Fest 13, a World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger Meet, takes place at the National Stadium in Kingston on Saturday, and Shericka Jackson is set to headline heat 3 of the women’s 100-meter dash.

The event will be live-streamed on our TrackalertsTv YouTube channel from 5 pm.

Jackson, the world 100-meter silver medalist, will be competing in her first race over the distance this season. Last year, the world 200-meter champion set a personal best of 10.71.

Teammates Tia Clayton and Kasheika Cameron from MVP are also scheduled to race in heat one.

Other athletes set to compete in the event include Yanique Thompson, Remona Burchell of Sprintec, Tatjana Pinto of Elite Performance, Racers Crystal Morrison, and Mariyam Ru Yah Ali.

Heat two will feature MVP’s Jonielle Smith, Natasha Morrison, Anthonique Strachan, and Srabani Nanda, as well as Sprintec’s Shashalee Forbes.
