NASSAU, Bahamas Nineteen-year-old Bahamian Shaunae Miller, who finished 4th in the 200m at the World Champiosnhips in Moscow, is preparing for her first full season as a professional athlete, reports tribune242.com. 

The Bahamian, who is still pursuing academics at the University of Georgia, says that her training is going great and she is really excited for the indoor season in which she hopes to compete in Sopot at the World Indoors over 400m. 

The former World Youth and World Junior 400m champion says that she has stepped up her training under Coach George Cleare. 

Also in her plans for 2014 are the Carifta Games and the IAAF World Relays.

Meanwhile, also in Bahamas, Donald Thomas, who placed 6th in the World high jump final, has been named the Bahama’s Male Athlete of 2013, across all sports, by the Nassau Guardian. 
World 400mH semi finalist Jeffery Gibson was 2nd on the Guardian’s list.
