Sha’Carri Richardson out of US Trials 2022

MIRAMAR, Florida (April 8) – Sprint sensation Sha’Carri Richardson made a triumphant return to the track at the 2023 Miramar Invitational over the weekend, storming to victory in the women’s 100-meter final with a wind-assisted time of 10.57 seconds (adjusted to 10.77 secs with legal wind).

Richardson, who had already made a strong impression with a blistering anchor leg at the 2023 Texas Relays last week, left no doubt about her form in Miramar. She dominated the field, finishing several meters ahead of her closest rival and even indulging in a celebratory moment before crossing the finish line.

With a significant tailwind of 4.1 m/s at her back, Richardson’s performance ranked as the fourth-fastest time in all conditions. Twanisha Terry of the United States claimed second place with a time of 10.89 seconds.

Richardson’s dazzling display confirmed her status as a force to be reckoned with in the world of sprinting and put the competition on notice that she was back and ready to challenge for the top prizes.
